Public Disclosure Policy

Our Foundation will make available for public inspection the last three years of tax documents, including Internal Revenue Service Forms 990, any audit, and its tax exempt letter. If the request for any of these documents is made in person, the requested documents will be provided on the day of the request if possible. If the request is in writing (including email), copies will be provided within 30 days of the request. The requester may be charged a reasonable fee for the cost of copying, plus storage. Questions concerning documents should be addressed to either the Executive Director or Board Chair of our Foundation.

From I-75, take exit 333 (Walnut Street). Travel east on Walnut for about two miles. Turn left on Thornton Ave. Take an immediate left into the parking area of office buildings. Our office is on the second floor. There's an elevator located at the front entrance.

DAVID AFT
President

David has worked in the nonprofit field for over twenty five years and has lived in Northwest Georgia since 1996. Aft is a recognized resource and noted speaker on charitable enterprise, civics, fundraising strategy and community development. He is a graduate of the Florida State University School of Social Work where he earned a masters degree in social work in 1987.

MAVIS DOLLIVER
Office Manager

Mavis joined the Community Foundation in 2023, bringing with her over 20 years experience as a paralegal. She has also trained as a CASA volunteer for Whitfield County and possesses a BA in Psychology. Mavis is originally from England, and has lived in Dalton since 1985 where her two children and five grandchildren also reside.

MITZI BOYD

Mitzi has worked in the nonprofit and healthcare industry for nearly thirty years. She is a specialist in financial management and office administration and has served in her current capacity for the Foundation over the last 20 years. Mitzi is a veteran of the United States Navy and has lived in Northwest Georgia since 1989.

AUDRA FALCONER
Accounting Manager I

Audra has over twenty years of accounting experience across multiple industries including public accounting and manufacturing accounting. She holds a Masters Degree in accounting from Western Governors University. A native of Chatsworth, Audra currently lives in Adairsville.

CECELIA DYER
Grants and Programs Manager

Cecelia has worked in management since 2012.  Prior to joining the Community Foundation, she worked for her family’s business as bookkeeper and office manager.  Cecelia has lived in Northwest Georgia all of her life where she and her husband have raised their two children.
